Passenger traffic at Beirut’s Rafik Hariri Airport exceeds 7m in 11 months

Passenger traffic at Beirut’s Rafik Hariri International Airport 2016 increased by 11% during November 2016, whereas the total of passengers since the beginning of 2016 until the end of November increased to more than 7 million passengers.

Passenger traffic surpassed 7 million passengers a month before the end of 2016, as it recorded 7,010,837 passengers since the beginning of January until the end of November, and it is expected to record a further increase at the end of December to end the year at more than 7.5 million passengers.

According to official statistics issued by the Civil Aviation Administration, the number of passengers at the airport has increased during November by 10.92% (compared to the same period in 2015) where it recorded 555,931 passengers.

Total commercial flights for airlines operating at Rafik Hariri International Airport in Beirut reached 5,080 movements during the November (an increase of 3.15%); while the total freight during November reached 7,010 tons (an increase of 0.23%).
