NEW YORK: An advisory has been issued for those passengers flying from JFK Airport in New York due to protests.
JetBlue advised passengers to allow themselves extra time when coming to the airport.
“Due to protest activity at JFK, allow extra time for travel to the airport and consider public transportation options. Taxi drop offs and pick ups at JFK are suspended between 6 p.m. ET and 8 p.m. ET. AirTrain JFK is limited to ticketed customers and badged crewmembers at Jamaica and Howard Beach stations. Flight operations continue normally,” the airline said in a statement on its website.
The protests have been held in the US after President Donald Trump’s decision to ban immigrants from entering the country. A number of citizens of seven Muslim countries have been arrested at a different American airports following the Trump decision now to allow citizens of those countries to enter the US.
Trump banned citizens of Syria, Sudan, Libya, Iraq, Iran, Somalia and Yemen from stepping on the US soil.
