Norwegian airline announces increased frequencies on most routes from the United States to London Gatwick.
Beginning in mid-April 2017, service from Los Angeles will operate daily; service from Oakland/San Francisco will operate five times per week; service from Fort Lauderdale will operate twice weekly; and service from Orlando will operate three times per week.
In August 2017, Norwegian will offer an additional daily flight between New York and London, reaching 13 weekly flights.
“Our U.S.-London flights are more popular than ever and customer demand shows low-cost long-haul flights are not only here to stay, but also quickly becoming the norm for cost-conscious travelers. By increasing the number of transatlantic flights on our U.S.-London routes, we are giving tourists and business passengers more flexibility, attractive fares and convenient schedules,” Thomas Ramdahl, Chief Commercial Officer said.
“With final approval for Norwegian Air International’s foreign carrier permit from the Department of Transportation and nine more Boeing 787 Dreamliners entering our fleet next year, this is only the beginning of our UK expansion. We will continue to add flights from the U.S. to the UK and other European destinations, driving down fares in the process, and are eagerly anticipating our foreign carrier permit for Norwegian Air UK.”
Daily service from Los Angeles International Airport to London Gatwick will begin on April 15, 2017, up from five weekly flights. Beginning on April 17, 2017, flights from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to London Gatwick will increase from once weekly to twice weekly (Mondays and Wednesdays).
London Gatwick will be served from Oakland International Airport with five flights per week (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays), an increase of two additional flights starting on April 18, 2017. Flights between Orlando International Airport and London Gatwick will increase from two to three weekly flights (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) beginning on April 20, 2017.

Fares from these five U.S. cities to London are now available from $195 one-way, including taxes. The lowest available fares to any of Norwegian’s destinations from the U.S. can be found by reviewing the low fare calendar.
Norwegian’s service from Fort Lauderdale to Guadeloupe will launch on December 17. Additionally, new nonstop routes for 2017 include direct service from Oakland/San Francisco to Copenhagen on March 28. The airline’s nonstop service to Barcelona from four American cities will launch as follows: Los Angeles on June 5; New York City (Newark Liberty International Airport) on June 6; Oakland/San Francisco on June 7; and Fort Lauderdale on August 22, 2017.
