Oman Airports Management Company (OAMC) today conducted a full-scale emergency exercise at Muscat International Airport.
The exercise was aimed at measuring the preparedness of all relevant emergency response agencies and evaluating the emergency response capabilities and implementation strategies of Muscat Internationial Airport.
Teams from ROP, PACA, PACDA Airport Security, RAFO Seeb base, AFH, ROP Hospital, Government hospitals and Oman Air tested their collective and coordinated response to emergencies, ensuring that any incident at the airport is managed effectively and immediately.
The exercise encompassed all aspects of emergency response, including rescue and fire-fighting, security, medical services and internal, external and passenger communications.
Last month, Oman Airports Management Company welcomed the first US-Bangla Airlines direct flight to Muscat. This comes in line with the company’s efforts to increase the number of international airlines operating at Muscat International Airport, which now totals 34 carriers.
