Delta issues travel advisory for Upper Plains and Midwest due to winter weather


ATLANTA: Delta airline has issued a travel advisory for the Upper Plains and Midwest due to inclement weather as flights could be affected on January 15 and 16.

“Due to forecasted weather in the Upper Plains and Midwest travel to/from/through the cities below might be impacted. Check flight status frequently for up-to-the-minute info about your flight plans, or get updates sent directly to your wireless device or email with Delta MessengerOpens External Site in new window,” the airline said in a statement on its website.

If passengers wish to cancel their trip as a result of a flight cancellation or significant delay (90 minutes or more), they are entitled to a refund for the unused portion of your ticket. Even if their flight is not canceled, they may make a one-time change to their ticket without fee if they are scheduled to travel to, from, or through the following destination(s) on Delta, Delta Connection, or Delta-coded flights during the specified time periods listed below.

When rescheduled travel occurs beyond January 19, 2017, the change fee will be waived. However, a difference in fare may apply. Final travel must be completed by end of ticket validity, one year from date of original issue. If travel is not able to be rescheduled within these guidelines, customers may cancel their reservation and apply any unused value of the ticket toward the purchase of a new ticket for a period of one year from the original ticket issuance. Applicable change fee and fare difference will apply for new travel dates. Final travel must be completed by end of ticket validity.
