More than a dozen crew members of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) sustained injured in a hotel fire in Karachi.
“16 PIA cabin crew members belonging to Islamabad and Peshawar received injuries in today’s unfortunate incident of fire at a Karachi hotel,” said Danyal Gilani, General Manager Public Affairs/ Spokesman Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
Majority of the injured personnel were released after treatment while some were still being treated at a Karachi hospital.
“Most of them have been discharged from the hospital after necessary first aid while others are still undergoing treatment,” Gilani tweeted on Monday morning.
Nearly 11 people died while more than 70 sustained injuries in the hotel which broke out on Monday evening. Among the dead are four women and three doctors.
